People with 20/15 vision don't squint because they see better when they don't.

People with 20/40 squint because they see _better_ when they squint.

If it becomes a habit, by your reasoning would it not be a good habit and
improve their vision?

Squinting does not decrease refractive error, nor increase it either. The eye
doesn't refract differently after they open their eyes.

You-all can discuss the benefits or dangers of exercise ad nauseam. The
orbicularis muscle isn't directly involved in visual perception.
