MRI fine, nothing seen there.
So that must mean the brain is gone too. Probably is. Thryoid ultrasound sending me back to the endo the same endo that has done nothing to help me. So there we have it. Once again nothing done. What a waste of time and energy. They are never going to do anything so why don't I get that in my thick skull. -- Love and hugs to all Good thoughts coming your way too. Squirrely Jo

SqJo,
What a major change in events. You'd written about joking w/docs & others, happy with their care, that going to appts was your social life (I could relate)... what happened. I wish you wouldn't put yourself down (the lack of brain comment). Isn't is good news that the MRI was fine. Sorry you have to see an endo you apparently don't like. Are you very pro-active with him? What is the endo supposed to be looking for? Seems they did run tests. If what they were looking for is not there, isn't that good news? I presume you have a PCP who is aware of symptoms you're experiencing. Either there isn't an answer or they don't know what other tests to order. I'm really sorry you're upset. What is it exactly you want them to do that they are doing nothing about? Hope your mammogram was fine. {{{{squirrely jo}}}}, one of these docs has to figure this out. too many
specialist in this formula. what you need is a brilliant diagnostician. someone needs to lay out all the pieces and get a handle on the big picture. it seems you may have all the data you need. now you need one really smart doc to take the time and solve this puzzle. hang in there kiddo. it is so frustrating but there has to be some answers here...somewhere. johnie Squirrely wrote: > MRI fine, nothing seen there. > So that must mean the brain is gone too. I feel for ya gal!! It feels like you're beating your head against a
brick wall sometimes, doesn't it? If only you could walk in and say "This is what's wrong with me and this is the test I want run to prove it to you." I'm able to do that, in a round-about way, with my PCP sometimes, but then I have a hard time getting him to follow through. (I was the one to tell him I wanted the cholesterol and cardio inflammatory lab tests. He wouldn't have run them if I hadn't come out and ask for them.) Is there any chance that you can go and request specific tests like this? Maybe you could do some research what your problems are and figure out what might show up on what test. Get that chin up and don't give up...ya hear?! squirrely@tekrealm.net (Squirrely) wrote: MRI fine, nothing seen there. So that must mean the brain is gone too. Probably is. For crying out loud!!! After all you've been through, and they can't find
anything that is causing all your problems! I'm so sorry, SJ! What frustration you must be feeling! All you can do is just keep pluggin' along, huh? Well, I'm praying that you'll find the best plugs ever! :) Take Care! Check out these MSN groups: http://groups.msn.com/pituitarytumor http://groups.msn.com/pituitarychat There are really helpful people there(I'm only really familiar with the first but the second may be busier) who know stuff like what kind of MRI it's best to have and maybe someone can even give you an idea of what your blood results mean if you have them. I've also seen recommendations for an endo so someone might know a good pituitary specialist in your area. > So there we have it. Once again nothing done. What a waste of time and > energy. I know just what you feel like: that dull sense of hopelessness when you seem to reach a dead end, I had the same thing when my periods first disappeared and the hormone test came back normal... I'd thought I had early menopause just like my mother did. It's horrible when you feel something isn't right and you can't get the answers! :( Please don't give up on yourself, ok? Check out those two groups, ask for ideas, post the results of your blood tests... maybe someone there can help you. I have also heard(ok, _seen_) a few people mention idiopathic prolactinemia: high prolactin without a visible tumour, I think they were also treated with Dostinex like I am, but I could be mistaken. This doesn't have to be a dead end Jo, you _can_ regroup and look for answers again. {{{Jo}}} Vashti
