Blind trippers

im involved in a webforum discussion on topic of 'blind people who
trip'.. we have some minor disagreements about what, if any, visuals
can be imagined, or interpreted by the blind. Also we would like to
know if there is any differnce in 'visuals' between someone whos 'born
blind' as compared to someone who 'loses' their sight later in life
due to accident or illness.

all we have are a bunch od differing opinions on the subject.. and no
concrete evidence.. so im looking to hear it from the horses mouth..
and/or read about any studies that have been done.. thanks
