I bought my first pipe today

the first time I have bought instead of made a pipe.
it is an incredibly(in my opionion) beautiful pipe glass, there is a guy who lives near here and sells them in markets, he's incredible, some of the more expensive ones loop around themselves, and are very intricate. the one I bought was 15$ and its transparent red/opaque white, the whole pipe is hollow so there is plenty of airspace around the bowl, and its got a hole on the side for your finger. This almost made up for the fact that I missed out on quite possibly the best chance for a job I'll ever have.(a guy is just starting up a company to produce some turned objects, and I had the job, but then a slight miscommunication, he thought he'd told me to come to his shop, and I was still waiting for him to confirm the insurance and Workers Comp boards approval) (I've been working on getting this job for over a month) the starting wage was gonna be 9$ while I was learning the techniques, and going up from there. the first replacement guy he tried was stupid, and grabbed hold of a saw blade, injurying himself. the second guy got hired, and I got told to try again in a few years once the company is up and running. fucking stupid asshatted miscomunications. oh and I bought a cell phone(which are the spawn of the devil) at a sale, so that I could call in for work with the oddjob program I am part of without having to sit at home.(it was 10$) I then had to to get hooked in to the service(pay as you go) and discovered that the phone had had its security code changed so I saved the cost of a new phone, but the stupid piece of shit was worthless, and when I took it apart to see if I could pop off the battery that keeps its memory alive it decided to fuck off completely. I HATE CELL PHONES! and yes I am rather drunk, but I can't find anything to try my new pipe out on, my friends are either on holiday, or dry. Pluis I spent the 25$ I earned over the last week. hope you all are having a good weekend. and remeber, don't fall down.

Telus Mobility offered it to us if we could come up with a regional vote that showed it was wanted here... and out of a few thousand votes cast, not a single vote in favour was recorded. ((U)) M

Take a snap of it and show us! :-) I can't:-) well i can but it will take quite a while to get the picture, and then find a scanner to scan it with. here is a picture, the red one in the middle is similar. http://www.sell.com/2C94Q the picture is near the bottom. but that place wants 25$ instead of 15$. question: how come can places sell wooden/metal pipes so cheaply? while looking for a picture I am finding turned/carved wooden ones for 99p (and in dollars I think thats about 1.75$ how can that be? the rosewood itself costs at least 10 bucks a board foot, and those pipes cant be made out of 1/10th of a boardfoot or less. and some of these have brass inlay too, which takes more time. P.S. sorry for the double post of the 1st message, dunno why it double posted. |
