Where I live they have holograms on state IDs. That makes it very difficult to
reproduce them (esp. since the hologram is the state seal). Bouncers know
this. I was born in 1984 and I appear to be closer to 21 than 19. My ID uses
black print under the hologram screen with a white base background as well as
under the print. This being the case, one day I got a bright idea and used a
microscope, an x-acto knife, and about 10 minutes to shave the 4 in 1984 to
make it read 1981 flawlessly. Where I live the ID's have a red trim when you
are under 21 and a blue trim when you legal. It also says "Under 21 until ___"
in ther corner. These can be bad, but most places just glance at your
picture, glance at the number and let you in. Give it a try!
