Cephalon shares soar on FDA letterINQUIRER STAFF
Shares in Cephalon Inc. rose today following news that the Food and
Drug Administation had given the company's fast-acting opioid pain
treatment Fentora an "approvable" letter.

Cephalon shares were up 12 percent, or $6.36 to $60.62 in noontime
trading on the Nasdaq National Market.

The FDA letter was not a final approval. Cephalon said Thursday it
plans to respond by the end of July and expects to hear from the agency
60 days after that.

The sugar-free fentanyl buccal tablet dissolves in a patient's mouth to
treat moderate to severe cancer pain. Cephalon said no additional
safety or effectiveness tests were required and that product labeling
had been "essentially finalized."

It sounds pretty interesting. Kind of like Actiq without the stick. I
like the fact that they describe it as "Fast Acting".

Can't wait until these arrive in a neighborhood near me!!

I always would just break the "candy part" off the stick anyway..I'd roll it
around in my mouth, under my tongue..Why leave the stick sticking out as a
"pin"?
